As cyclists, we will be riding on dirt roads, trails, and footpaths. Some sections will be inclined and generally gentle, but you should expect some steep segments that may require pushing your bike. Be prepared for all types of riding surfaces. Ride slowly and brake often on downhills, applying more force to the rear brake. During the day, temperatures can range from warm to hot, depending on the time of your visit. In highland areas and villages, nights and mornings may be cool and misty. This packing list is not comprehensive but includes items we suggest specifically for bike riding in Tanzania.
These items should be added to your normal packing list for an outdoor cycling adventure. Adjust the quantity of items based on the length of your cycling tour.
